It does not matter if you are black or white... Or does it ?

If you do not know my blog title from Michael Jackson's song "Black or White" then please venture from under the rock you are living. If you think this post is about photographing white versus black people then you are most definitely wrong. This post ventures into the realm of coloured versus black and white photos. Which are you are preference and why?

Personally I have been a huge fan of the black and white photo. Its timeless and certainly adept at capturing the moment, the imagery, the sentiment. It strips away all that is secondary, the periphery if you will and one is left with focal intent of the image before you. It is found that black and white photos tend to capture the innocence of a moment and excellent for seeing the raw human emotion for what it is.

Alternatively coloured photos bring the imagery alive. It gives a sense of the event, the expression of colour and all else that occurs around you. If I were to borrow a stanza from Louis Armstrong,

"I see trees of green, red roses too,
I see them bloom for me and you,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world"

But the focus of this post will examine SOME of my favourite black and white pics I have taken over the years. Enjoy!
